İş Bank Headquarters Complex
Completed on August 26, 2000, İş Towers has a very important place in the image of the bank since its opening. Offering service for over 3,000 personnel, the İş Towers complex also has a theater/concert hall, İş Art gallery, shopping center, restaurants and garage.
The complex has other interesting features as follows:
- In terms of area, the complex is approximately 8 times the size of İş Bank Headquarters Building in Ankara.
- It is possible to construct 1,000 apartment buildings with 5 storeys using BS 35 quality concrete and 8,000 apartment buildings with an area of 100 m² using BÇ III quality concrete steel used in the complex.
- The total area of various air ducts used in heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) installations is 150.000 m², which is equal to the surface of 26 football fields.
- The total length of pipes used in heating, cooling, sewage, clean water, rain water and fire extinguishing installations is 300 km, which is equal to the distance between İstanbul and Bursa.
- Its height is equal to approximately 3 times the Bosporus Bridge and about the hill of Küçük Çamlıca.
- The building is constructed statically so that it can resist to even the most severe earthquake possible in the first degree earthquake zone.
The Vrendel beams, which provide retraction on the top floors of each of the 3 towers, are critical, specially equipped and built with a special formwork system.
